Classic Swing Golf School – Father/Son Challenge

Who watched the PNC Father/Son Challenge?  This past weekend, Stewart Cink and son Conner Cink became the first team since Raymond Floyd and Ray Floyd Jr. in 1995 to claim the PNC Father/Son Challenge in their first appearance.

Enjoy these other Father/Son facts:

— Raymond Floyd, Larry Nelson, Hale Irwin and Lee Trevino have now played in all 16 father/son tournaments.

— The  name became somewhat inaccurate as Fuzzy Zoeller teamed up with his daughter Gretchen in 2005 and Arnold Palmer partnered one of his grandsons.

–The younger member of the teams ranged from middle school age up, and included a few with tour golf careers of their own.

— The fathers needed to have won a major championship or The Players Championship to be eligible.

— This year, for the first time, Nicklaus played without longtime friend and one-time rival Arnold Palmer.

— This year included 20 teams, the most ever in the history of the event.

— This year, included 12 members of the World Golf Hall of Fame.
