Myrtle Beach was given the highest point total of all of the golf communities rated nationwide. Using data from 244 counties in the U.S. they rated golf communities on criteria such as the number of highly ranked courses, playable days per year, cost of living, off-course diversions and more. Equal weight was given to golf and non-golf criteria.
